Greg Dukellis represents general contractors, owners, subcontractors, construction managers and sureties in a broad range of commercial and construction matters. His practice includes preparation and defense of claims, preparation and negotiation of contract documents, advice regarding contract administration, strategies for contract close-out and completion, preparation and defense of bid protests, analysis of false claim issues, analysis of design/build issues, and dispute resolution and litigation on a wide variety of heavy industrial and commercial construction projects.
Although Greg is an advocate of pursuing negotiated resolutions of disputes prior to litigation, he has successfully tried cases to judgment in state court, federal court, and before the American Arbitration Association. Greg has been involved in some of California's most significant construction decisions and verdicts, including Amelco Electric v. The City of Thousand Oaks, and has litigated construction claims totaling in excess of $150 million. He was part of the recent trial team that obtained a jury verdict in excess of $30 million for a contractor client against the City of Los Angeles.
Greg has advised clients on a wide variety of construction projects, including sewage treatment facilities, prisons, universities, airports, parking structures, canals, hospitals, highways, civic auditoriums, mass transit systems, water filtration facilities, power plants, schools, commercial complexes and luxury homes. His extensive litigation experience, coupled with his working knowledge of the construction process, allows him to cost effectively advise clients during any phase of a project or dispute.
