Daniel Broderick is a second year associate and focuses his practice on construction, government contracts, and suretyship. He joined WTHF as an associate in September 2010 after having served one year as a Law Clerk and as a Summer Associate in 2009. Dan's experience includes:

  • Drafting motions for a bid-rigging dispute in federal district court
  • Assisting a client with the successful implementation of a remediation agreement on a $200 million laboratory project
  • Preparing appeals before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals
  • Preparing and Responding to Interrogatories and Requests for Production of Documents
  • Appearing in court in behalf of clients
  • Conducting a privilege review to support a fraud action arising out of a construction dispute
  • Legal research to support various pre-trial motions

Dan developed his understanding of the construction industry through his legal education and strategic technical and professional experience. He specifically tailored his legal education towards construction litigation and excelled in classes such as International Project Finance and International Construction Arbitration.

Before joining WTHF, Dan worked as a Project Engineer at a Baltimore-based Top 15 Engineering News Record contractor and as a Professional Construction Claims Consultant for one of the top consultants in the country. As a Project Engineer, Dan managed all aspects of multi-million dollar subcontractors. As a Claims Consultant, Dan prepared and maintained project schedules on projects ranging from $5 million to $200 million, including the modernization of the United States Supreme Court. He also played an integral role in the research and preparation of claims on several public and private projects.
