Chris joined Watt, Tieder, Hoffar & Fitzgerald, LLP in 2002, and since that time has gained significant experience in the areas of surety, construction and commercial real estate litigation.
Chris has represented clients in both federal and state courts, including two trials in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and in several alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Through his representation of sureties and general contractors, Chris has encountered a variety of complex legal issues arising out of commercial construction and development projects, including public roadways, mass transit systems, multi-family housing developments, schools, military housing and maintenance facilities and street retail development projects. From his involvement in these projects, Chris has gained significant experience in preparing for and participating in trial proceedings and in drafting and arguing motions.
