UK-based research and publishing group Chambers and Partners presented the overall 2011 Award of Excellence in Construction Law to renowned construction law boutique Watt, Tieder, Hoffar & Fitzgerald LLP (WTHF) at its annual awards dinner Thursday evening. This win marks the second time in only three years that the firm has been awarded Chambers' top honor. WTHF was also ranked as a Band 1 firm in California and Virginia and was recommended in newly added categories of Client Service and Commercial Awareness nationwide. WTHF won its first Award of Excellence in Construction Law in 2009.
WTHF Chairman Bob Watt, along with partners Paul Varela, Mark Sgarlata and Todd Metz, accepted the honor on the firm's behalf. "I'd like to thank Chambers and also Bob Watt. Bob's vision and leadership have been key to our firm's success over the years." Mark commented after a brief photo opportunity with his comrades and Chambers Managing Editor Catherine McGregor. Bob also voiced his thanks to Chambers before the group left the stage.
In Chambers' 2011 Client's Guide for America's Leading Lawyers for Business, client remarks for Client Service and Commercial Awareness include: "The quality is consistent across the group and every lawyer I have dealt with is first rate." and "Watt Tieder is at the top of my list of go-to firms for complex construction litigation matters." Clients continue to choose WTHF because "[Their] attorneys know the law and know what to do to get results."
The Chambers USA Awards of Excellence honor outstanding lawyers and law firms across the United States, reflecting preeminence in key practice areas and significant achievements over the last 12 months. Chambers and Partners ranks both firms and individuals in a variety of areas and qualities most valued by clients.
Congratulations to WTHF and our attorneys and staff for their hard work and dedication. An enormous debt of gratitude is also owed to our clients for their continued confidence and loyalty to WTHF.
